Activities

The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) Project on Scholarly Integrity in Graduate Education promotes responsible and quality scholarship by supporting systematic improvements in graduate education. The Research Integrity Inventory Survey is designed to gather information about the scope and nature of activities and resources at graduate institutions and in participating programs and/or other relevant units. Awardees are asked to administer the survey prior to and after participation in the PSI. Project Affiliates and other institutions are also welcome to use this instrument.

Both within and across universities, activities and resources vary widely. Few if any universities are engaged in all of the activities listed in the assessment; not all activities will be appropriate in every context; and many universities will be engaged in other innovative activities and use important resources not listed on the assessment instrument. Nevertheless, this common instrument can support the efforts of CGS and graduate schools to assess progress over time and share best practices across institutions.
